Withers & Co. Euro Summer Branded Merch Trends Review

We travelled to Europe, first stopping in the UK for Matt and his team to compete in the Touch World Cup, and then onward around southern Europe, picking up some sun, the local drinks and the latest promo trends. As is the current travel trend around the globe, we combined business and leisure travel for this bleisure trip. Below are some of the observed gifting trends that we feel can benefit your brand this coming season.

Summer Merch Inspo Unlocked

One of the traditions at touch tournaments all over the world is swapping your apparel at the end of the tournament, the most coveted item - the black NZ singlet. So, when we did a swap with a Japanese team member, they included one of their branded fans - which was perfect for the hot weather; Janelle took hers everywhere! We're thinking they'll be a hit at summer events – small, affordable, and great for brand impressions. Chiller bins were everywhere in modern and retro styles and colors, combined with branded board and ball sets, we think these will be perfect for beach days and beyond this summer.

Summer is meant for spending time in the great outdoors, gathering with your people, and taking advantage of cool summer nights. Whether it’s chiller bins or branded fans, our team is ready to bring your ideas to life by providing economically sourced merch that speaks volumes.

Presentation Always Matters: Branded Merch is No Different

Like any first impression, the presentation is the first thing you see. Whether that be showing up to an interview and seeing the atmosphere, the look of your company website when prospects land, or branded merch for your event, the tone is set by that first glance. That’s why we felt the tote bags paired with pool towels made our hotel stays a breeze. A clever move to create a convenient and branded package! It's all about that extra touch (check out how they combined their brand and word play on the tote)!

 Must-Have Travel Items

We try to make it a point to travel a few times out of the year and we wanted to share a few of our favorites to roam the European streets (or any streets for that matter) during the summer. Tevas were our go-to for walking comfort, making exploring the cities that much better. Kathmandu's trolley bag was our trusty luggage sidekick, while Uniqlo's shoulder bag kept our daily essentials organized and accessible. Ask us about outfitting your team for your next corporate incentive trip or retreat with great pieces like these. Perhaps consider trusty gifts like these for your road-warrior customers as well.

Colour Trends in Merch and Apparel

As shown in this photo from Harrods, we're seeing a shift in color trends. Vibrant hues like chartreuse and electric blue are making a statement, alongside softer tones of lavender and robin's egg blue. Top brands are moving away from traditional corporate colors and embracing a more expressive palette, creating merchandise that's truly captivating. This trend reflects a desire for individuality and a departure from the expected.

And in case you wanted to know how Matt and his team did…

They brought home the silver medal from the Touch World Cup in Nottingham. This event was bigger than the Commonwealth Games and an amazing experience. A huge shoutout to SupaColour, our amazing heat-pressed transfer supplier for the epic sponsorship, thanks Mike. Check out all of the decoration methods we have available for your next event here

As always, we are willing and ready to chat merch whenever you need us, so keep this blog in your back pocket or reach out now if you are in need of merch-spiration. ????
